White Clover (Trifolium repens) is native to Eurasia and widely naturalized across North America, Australia, and New Zealand. The plant called white clover is a wild grass, and by nature it tends to grow no higher than just inches above the ground. As a ground cover, white clover also grows thick enough to serve as a luxurious kind of garden carpet. The wondrous white clover flowers can be harvested, but only if you share them with the wild pollinators who will be visiting you to enjoy the garden. These include honeybees, bumble bees, butterflies such as the buckeye (Junonia coenia), and sphinx moths. The white clover is a must-have in the garden, for anyone who insists upon having beauty around them and in conserving the holy plants of our Lord of Light the Creator. Perhaps once in a whole you’ll find a four-leaf clover, but the important point this priceless plant teaches us is that we’re all part of the divine trinity. All of us who are blessed enough to be upon mother earth and under the Lord of Light are part of the circle of light, of rechristening, of resurrection, and of eternal salvation. Once the wild grass called white clover is established, it requires some water intermittently only during the dry seasons. Of course, you’ll want to gather some of the gently sweet aromatic white flowers for tea. But you’ll never want to mow down your white clover. In fact, the plant has been used for eons by the indigenous as a miraculous medicinal plant for overall health. At Portland Plant Paradise, we offer all shop customers a free consult, and we would love to work with you such that you find health and happiness in your garden as you share your own miraculous spiritual journey. This offer is $35 for one 12 inch organic rooted white clover seedling. Free shipping. Please know that we do not mail out to PO Boxes without explicit customer permission in writing.
