Herb Robert (Geranium robertianum) is a wildflower of the Geranium genus. Herb Robert is no store-bought, GMO’d Geranium. The dashing Herb Robert if experience is any guide will waltz into your garden and become a constant companion to your naturalized habitat. This herbaceous plant is native to most northern latitudes across Europe, Asia, and North America, and it will fit right into diverse terrains, from woodlands to wetlands to wild cottage gardens. Herb Robert hardiness zone is 3 to 9. This plant which can grow several feet tall to reach the sunlight, is too pretty to prune, yet please gather it up for teatime. The entire plant including flowers, leaves, and roots can be dried and made into a tantalizing and medicinal tea that at once oxygenates and renews cellular makeup, thereby strengthening immunity, detoxifying, and fighting against diseases. As long as you do not pull out all of Herb Robert’s rhizome, the plant will reliably renew itself for the next season. It is a very hardy plant that thrives in full sun as well as dappled light, and it can even survive periods of drought, although it is most at home in moist, well-draining soil. This precious plant is a beacon for butterflies and bees alike. Herb Robert offers essential nectar to the Orange-tip (Anthrocharis cardamines), a gorgeous butterfly as well as the Barred Carpet (Martania taeniata), a majestic moth. This offer is $35 for Herb Robert 12 inch organic rooted seedling.
